couple difficult front next run since smaller start struggle teams
The smaller teams now find it difficult to run up front in the IRL. A couple of teams that have been there with the IRL since the start are going to struggle to be there next year.
banking build chicago close closest couple dinners enjoy fans finishes good great hoping kentucky length mile races run string strong time track weeks
Chicago is a lot like the other 1.5 mile ovals that we've run this year. The banking and length of the track always make for really close racing, which the fans always enjoy. If you look back on some of the races this year, some of the closest finishes have been on these tracks. We did pretty well at Kentucky a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hoping that we'll be able to build on this and keep up our string of strong finishes. I always enjoy going to Chicago because there's always a lot to do away from the track. From having great dinners to shopping, I always have a good time there.
bump felt left quick rear ryan upside
I felt a bump from the left rear of my car. Ryan was up over me. He was upside down and there was a lot of fire. It was just a quick thud.
bump felt left next rear ryan
I felt a bump in the left rear of the car, and the next thing I know, Ryan was up over me, there was fire, and we were in the wall.
atlantic capable daytona definitely drove excited former forward hour last looking race ran reunited season series steve team together winning won year
I'm really looking forward to my first Daytona 24 hour race. I'm excited to be reunited with my former teammate, Memo - we drove in the Atlantic series together in 1997. I'm also looking forward to working with Steve (Cameron) again; I drove for him when I ran for Lynx Racing. This team won the last race of the season last year and I feel that they're definitely capable of winning the Rolex 24.
integral last offense past state three time work
That's very special, and he's been a real integral part of our offense the past three years. To work with him one last time and working with the other All-Stars in the state is an honor.
series turned
They've kind of turned this series into what the IRL didn't want to happen,
biggest everybody happen looking people smaller step tight traveling
The biggest thing was traveling around with the team. It was a little different than this level. It was more family-oriented. It was a smaller group, and everybody was always looking out for one another. At this level, it doesn't happen that way. There are so many people and so much turnover, it's different than a steppingstone like that. That's what made that step so genuine; not only were we winning, but we were all really tight together.
along catching far guys learn though trying
I feel as though I'm catching up a little bit, ... But I'm not as far along as some other guys on the line. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can.
expect mix relatively work
I expect he will work into the mix relatively soon.
great hopefully job prepare taking together trying
I am just here taking this all in. They are doing a great job of working with me, trying to prepare me and things like that. Hopefully I can put it all together and be successful.
buddy build car catch change good great happy next positive quite race run second sustain
It was excellent. We had a great car all weekend. We made a good change there on the second stop. Went back out. The car was solid, and we were able to hang on to third. Didn't have quite enough to try and make a run on the leaders, but I could catch Buddy and sustain it, but wasn't able to be offensive. I'm really happy with the podium. It's our first podium of the season. Pretty positive for the team, and we'll build upon it for the next race in Chicago.
academics applied court man pleasing program reason school
It's just pleasing to me to have a young man like that in our program because the reason he's at school is academics first and he's applied himself, not only on the court but off the court.
drivers exciting fact family fastest forward front good passing race races run setup tracks wide
This is always one race that I look forward to because of the fact that I get to race in front family and friends. Plus, I've had some really good races there. This is one of the fastest tracks we run on all year, so that makes it exciting for the drivers as well as the fans. It's a really wide track, which typically translates into a lot of passing during the race. Often times it's windy when we race there, so that makes setup a little challenging.
