Amelia Mary Earhartwas an American aviation pioneer and author. Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She received the U.S. Distinguished Flying Cross for this record. She set many other records, wrote best-selling books about her flying experiences and was instrumental in the formation of The Ninety-Nines, an organization for female pilots. Women must pay for everything. They do get more glory than men for comparable feats, but, they also get more notoriety when they crash.
The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves.

Ours is the commencement of a flying age, and I am happy to have popped into existence at a period so interesting.
