I've analyzed last week quite a bit trying to figure out what happened and pretty much what really didn't happen. I just came to the conclusion that I tried, but things just didn't add up. I was pretty happy with the way I hit the ball and pretty happy the way I was putting. I just wasn't happy with where I ended up.
It's only Thursday; I have three more days. I'm looking forward to it. I still feel good about my game. Today it was almost. It was very, very close, but not really it. And right now, I don't really know what I've got to do to make it a great one, maybe make a few putts, maybe hit a few drives.
I've never seen anything like it. The last time I saw crowds like this was the U.S. Open on a Sunday,
It makes you hit every shot in the bag. For me, I come in with the mindset that I have to play well.
Sometimes you can't do a thing about it. You just have to try and keep on grinding and hope that things will turn around eventually.
Last year was a blur with all I was going through (off the course) and sometimes I don't know how I managed to stay focused when I was inside the ropes,
Golf has been my savior, there's no doubt about that.
It was just one of those days. I am happy with the way I am playing, I just couldn't get it together today. I'm just glad I made birdie on the last hole. Hopefully I can turn it around.
I actually had to look twice. I was wondering what course she was playing. That's an incredible score.
I think what I've got to do is just take one step at a time, one tournament at a time, trying to prepare as much as I can for the majors. I know how to win them. I've just got to be able to do it in one year. So that's my biggest goal this year.
Last year, I told everyone what my goals were and then I didn't get to come in here and hold the trophy or be soaking wet, so my goal went down the tubes, ... But now, I'm here and I'm soaking wet. And now I'm looking forward to the rest of the year.
In Sweden, I thought the atmosphere was great. Obviously, we had a lot of fans pulling for us,
This is a great start to the season. I've got good memories. I'm happy to be back here and I don't feel any extra pressure.
I was a little surprised. I do think it needs to be tweaked a little bit.
