Annika Sörenstam; born 9 October 1970) is a retired Swedish professional golfer, one of the most successful female golfers in history. Before stepping away from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, she had won 90 international tournaments as a professional, making her the female golfer with the most wins to her name. When I come to a tournament I set really high goals and I come here to do the best I can. I don't know if I'm being rude if I win my own tournament, but I'm just a very competitive person and I love to do well. Today was a step in the right direction and one of my better rounds in about a month so I feel really good.

I've had four weeks off, so I'm happy to be here. I'm ready to come back and play some tournaments. I am excited to get going again. I normally don't have four weeks off in the summer, but it just turned out to be that this year. I played in Europe three weeks and needed a long break.

Luckily I had a little cushion, and at the end it seemed like I needed it, ... For me, a win is a win. I thought I played excellent the first two days. It's a tough golf course and a lot of things are shaping up for the end of year. So this meant a lot to me.

I play this game for myself, and I motivate myself and I have my own goals, and I think I know my limits. I know what I want to achieve. There are a lot of young players coming up, and they are very good. But I also love being in the spot that I'm in, so that keeps me motivated.

The last four holes, we were playing straight into the sun and straight into the wind. I was looking at the clock, hoping, wondering, 'Can we finish today?' It would have been quite a tough day (Sunday) if we couldn't finish, have to get up early, finish and then start over.
