I sure hope we're different. We seem to have been playing more physical basketball on the defensive end. Again, that was just one of those special games, the guy got on fire and obviously, since that's happened, we're not the team he's scored the most points against.
He had a little swelling. It's nothing serious. It's called old age. But we got to make sure we get that swelling down.
We just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. We're still firm that they're not going to come back until they're ready. And they're not ready. We probably won't have them back in the next game or two.
I'm not sure Nellie could tell me anything I don't already know about Pop's camps.
I'm sure that we're going to see everybody against Dirk, like we have the other four games.
They're booing the man out there, and I'm not sure why that's going on. But he wanted to win, and I gave Stack a big hug after the game, because he tried to beat them with his scoring and his assists and his defense.
It's the way we play. More than assists, we want to make sure our players move. We're really a different team.
I was concerned about this game. Byron Scott has done as good a job as anybody in the league, and they have that team in playoff contention.
I thought this was a gutsy performance by our team. Cleveland really jumped out on us and put us in a big hole and our team responded in the second half. Our third quarter defense was pretty special.
I think we're better defensively and much more physical. We're a little bit more mature and a little bit more experienced and a little bit more tougher minded.
I think any of the teams at the top, I think they should have at least multiple people on it. I think with our situation, I would have liked to have seen Josh (Howard) or (Jason) Terry, just somebody else besides Dirk on it because I think they should be rewarded.
I think there's another level for us to go to. We did some good stuff. We did some bad stuff.
I thought we were a little more physical with them. We seemed like we were apologizing for being on the court in the first half.
Jason wasn't 100 percent for us tonight, but he played big and gave us some offensive punch.
