feels night proud
It feels really good. I'm really proud of (the team) and they responded from day one. ... It's really important that we get better every night and we did tonight.
deserved group prouder win
Under the circumstances, I can't be much prouder of this group of players' effort. I think they deserved to win this game.
across bought draft papers proud wrote york
I am really proud of the kid. And I think I got that across to him. When this all went down, the papers in New York all wrote that I (affected his draft status), which wasn't true. And I think he bought into that.
accused agents bitter convinced fathers lottery nba prouder
I'm like one of his fathers who couldn't be prouder of him. It's a long story, but at the bitter end his agents accused me of badmouthing him to the NBA people; because they had convinced him he was a lottery pick.
changed easier job players proud stuff
I really got after the players ... and they responded really, really well. I changed a lot of stuff right away and they made my job easier because they cooperated so much. From that standpoint, I was proud of them.
afraid confront feelings harbor proud weaknesses
I'm firm, but fair. I think one of my weaknesses is I'll harbor my feelings for a while and then all at once ... let it go. I'm not proud of that necessarily. ... I'm not afraid of confrontation at all. I don't like to confront players, but I will if I have to.
best maybe news played proud
It's maybe the best news of the night, that's the best Nick's played in a long time. That's the way he's been practicing. I am proud of him.
game good moved proud second won
I think we would have won the game if we'd just had one of them. I was proud of our effort. I was proud of the execution, which was so much better. We moved the ball. We only had 12 turnovers. We had 22 assists. ... . There were some good things in the second half. They were just too big for us.
defensive finishing miss sets talked
I thought that we just couldn't keep them off the boards. We talked about finishing our defensive sets and we'd get them to miss and then they'd get the rebound.
changing good half practices
I thought under the circumstances of having only one and a half to two practices and changing systems, we were pretty good out there. Overall, I was really pleased.
boil concepts free improve line throw
I think (we can make a run). We have to improve the defense. The concepts are better but it's going to boil down to them. (Tonight) just can't happen. We can't let them go to the free throw line like that.
breakfast good happen impression length talked
I think there is a sense of relief. We talked at length at breakfast and I got the impression that it was going to happen and it was a good feeling. I have been working as if this thing was going to happen, but it's good to know it is done.
good
Just an all-around good win. One of our best.
credit deserves effort guy lots position ready supposed surprised
I think Damien Wilkins deserves lots and lots of credit for this one. I was a little surprised that he scored so many points, but I wasn't surprised in his effort or his defense. That's what a guy in his position is supposed to be ready to do.
