capable grown guys number shows throughout youth
This shows the youth that we have and the way that we have grown throughout the year. We have a number of young guys who are capable of being really good, and I think they'll get better and better.
coaching developed direction excellent feels great happy nfl number reaching strong supportive wants work
We are all happy for Darrell and his family. He feels the NFL is the direction he wants to go and we are supportive of him reaching his goals. We are all appreciative of the work he did here in coaching our receivers. He developed a great number of excellent players, and as also a strong recruiter.
close fewest gets maybe number overall snaps time
He's had the fewest number of snaps overall when you look at his time here, and he's been that close all along. We feel like if he gets more snaps maybe he can do something with it. We'll see.
along bolster early felt fewest line met needed number offensive players recruit returning team
We felt we needed to bolster our team along the offensive line because we had the fewest number of scholarship players returning at those positions. We feel like we met our needs. We recruit the kind of players that we feel can play early in their careers.
along amount close coming fewest five game giving maybe nearly number overall snaps threw time
He only threw five balls. He didn't have nearly the number of snaps and preparation coming into the game ... He's had the fewest number of snaps overall when you look at his amount of time here and he's been that close all along that we feel maybe giving him more opportunities, more snaps, maybe he'll do more with it. We'll see.
balls coming five nearly number snaps threw
He only threw five balls and didn't have nearly the number of snaps in preparation coming into the game,
country five guys knew number playing proud scratch six team
It kind of just typifies our whole year, having to scratch and claw through it all. It's not always easy. We were playing the number five or six team in the country and we knew it was going to be tough, so I'm proud of the way our guys did compete.
against both executing good number playing plays series sides solid team watching
They're a very solid team in everything they do. Watching them against Minnesota, there were a good number of plays and series where they were really playing well and executing on both sides of the ball.
ball breaking field point thinking
I thought the play was really a breaking point for us. I am not at all questioning the call, but we thought we had it, then we didn't, then they went down and got a field goal. Thinking we had the ball at the 30, and then not, that was a big swing.
assignment ball boundary busting covering deep entire gave good outside played positions route secondary solid somebody tackled wheel
I thought the secondary played solid and good the entire day. The one deep wheel route we gave up on our boundary was somebody else outside of the secondary busting an assignment and not covering their guy. They tackled well for the most part, their positions on the ball and challenging in many coverage, I thought, were really pretty good.
built challenged difficult last year
I think back to last year and, I don't want to say it was easy, but we made it look easy. We weren't challenged in difficult situations. This year, we have been, and it's built our character.
attempting certain continue execute game mean parts passing past smart sure worked
Just because what we've done in the past has worked and worked well doesn't mean that it will continue to. We have really got to be smart in what we're attempting to do. We need to make some adjustments and make sure we can execute certain parts of our passing game more consistently.
challenges columbia defense definitely fans four freshman handful league missouri next night people player presents program proud remember respect saw speed thinking turned
I remember the night we saw him in Columbia as a freshman and thinking to myself that he was going to be a handful for the league over the next four years. That definitely turned out to be the case. He just presents so many challenges to a defense with his size, his speed and his feel of the game. He is also a player who had the respect of people around the Big 12 for the way he conducted himself. He is a person that the Missouri program and fans can be proud of in a lot of ways.
