I think Tommy is better than he ever was. I really mean that. He throws inside now and you just can't hit him.
I think everybody in baseball is talking about him.
We do it every year the same way.
Well we had the lead, then it got tight, of course, ... But with two outs, nobody on (in the ninth), you feel like you're going to win the ballgame.
We've lost a lot of tough games. As bad as it was going today, we battled back and could have won it.
Our pitching isn't where it should be and where it will be. And it's the same with the pitching we've faced. It's been a strange week.
Our bullpen has been so good lately. It's on a roll right now.
Our bullpen glued it together really well. I thought we played a great game with our defense, pitching and offense. It's good to win the home opener.
Roger should have won in the low 20s this year and John should have won 18, 19 or 20.
Players love him. He's great on the bench and in the clubhouse. He's just a special person.
I think John sort of adopting him really made his year. Had a lot of faith in him.
I thought he was hitting closer to .300. He's had a lot of big hits.
I thought he hit some farther to left field, He's hit them farther than that.
I thought he would pitch better than this. I don't know what happened.
