Bobby Gene Plumpwas a member of the Milan High School basketball team that won the Indiana High School Athletic AssociationState Tournament in 1954. Plump was selected Indiana's coveted "Mr. Basketball" in 1954, the award bestowed upon Indiana's most outstanding senior basketball player as voted on by the press. I didn't make the connection as much until I started getting a lot of calls this week. I started to think of the parallels, and then when I read how their coach is handling this, it's kind of eerie.
