I hope Friday and Saturday night we get tons of UH students there. Hopefully these two promotions will get a lot of students in the games and it gets rowdy.

Obviously, it hurts a lot. He's battling to get past that. It's going to be tough the first couple of practices to get used to having a hurt finger. He's not going to give up. He's always playing hard. Whether that thing is falling off, he'll still play, even if he has to tape it on.

I was just trying to move the ball around as usual and keep them guessing. I saw that opening down the middle and decided to exploit it until they stopped it.

It puts everyone on that level playing field. It doesn't matter how many years you've been here or how many games you've started. The cauldron affects everyone. That's why it's so great. It makes it equal.

They changed their lineup, but that's not a problem as long as we take care of the ball on our side. They came out tough and played hard. We played harder.

There's added incentive, playing SC, with so many past schoolmates and teammates playing for them. It will be fun to play against them.

Their defense is incredible. It just beats down on your ego when balls keep on coming back over and over. I give props to them.

We wanted to send a message that we could do the same thing to them that they did to us. We did not want it to go four. This is a very big win for us. Irvine is a very, very good team and they crushed us Wednesday.

We got caught in a few mental errors. We were a little anxious after a long, restful weekend. We can improve on that, as well as working harder on our serves.

We got going there at the end of the first game and started cutting down on our errors. Then our control of the pace of the game really showed in the second and third games.

We tried to keep them guessing. With these back-to-back matches, the scouting can be so right on sometimes. They almost know where I'm going to set before I do. I took the liberty of scouting myself and changing my game. Not so much to the point where my offense was different, but to where my situational thinking was different. A hitter has to make the right shots, and I have to make the right decisions.

We had no film (of the Ramblers) and no scouting report. We're fortunate to squeak out one.
