We are excited for the fall. Our players have set high expectations for the next season, and we are looking forward to it. We had the chance in the spring to play against several teams with different types of systems, and we've learned to adapt to the way we need to play to succeed in the fall.

Our recruiting class this year is takings us in the right direction. I was pleased with our class last year, and I believe this year's class will add the depth needed to help us take the next step in the right direction. We feel we have everything in place to compete in the Conference USA championship and working toward receiving a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

Jocelyn is a very versatile player who can play any position for us on the field. She is a technically strong player who will suite our team best in the midfield. But she gives us the option to play her in multiple positions.

We've changed some of our formations this spring, which has frustrated some of our players who are learning the new system. These two wins give our players confidence in themselves and their ability to succeed in this system.

We came out flat and allowed Southern Miss to control the tempo early. Southern Miss came out with a lot of energy and played like they had something to prove after the results from the fall. It was an evenly played game in the first half, but we weren't winning many of the 50 percent chances.

Victoria is a crafty, technical player in the mold of senior Melissa Savage . She is small, but extremely feisty and is a hard worker who could play several positions for us. She also provides another scoring threat for us.
