continue dominant hopefully number performance players team tonight
That was a dominant performance by our team tonight; I'm very pleased. A number of players tonight made statements; hopefully they'll continue to make statements.
continue date excellent group next opportunity shape team together
With only one international fixture date next year, this is an excellent opportunity to get our group together as we continue to shape our team for the World Cup.
continues given goalkeeper improve opportunity talented terrific tim time
Tim continues to be a very talented goalkeeper that we think, given time and the right opportunity, is going to continue to improve and be a terrific goalkeeper at the international level. One day he will be the No. 1 goalkeeper for the U.S.
continue countries difficult grow smaller time
We haven't outgrown CONCACAF. I think you are going to see the smaller countries will continue to grow and we're going to have a very difficult time qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.
argument build certainly clint continues cup difficult solid tough
Clint continues to build a solid argument to make the World Cup team. He's certainly making it difficult for me to make some tough decisions.
continue cup evaluate game good opponent players prepare provide
The Guatemala game will provide us with another good opponent as we continue to prepare and evaluate players for the 2006 World Cup roster.
canada continues cup developing direction forward guy help ignore judge move norway players win
I think you can't overreact from one game, the Norway game, and ignore the Canada game. You judge players over time, not over a game. As he continues to move forward we'll have a better feel for the direction he's headed. Obviously, he's getting better. From my perspective, I need to see if he's developing into a guy who should be a player on the World Cup roster and can help us win a game.
anybody break chances continues few fluke guy happens ice seems
It just seems that every fluke play happens to Taylor. He's had a few chances, and like anybody else he has to break the ice and get a goal. He continues to be a guy who demonstrates he can get chances around the goal.
build continue experience forward guys hopefully move towards
It was an important experience for our young guys and hopefully we can continue to build as we move forward towards the World Cup.
couple form games injury late patient played since starting
I think we need to be patient with Eddie. He's just starting to come back. He's only played a couple of games since his injury in late May, so he's not completely in form at the moment.
anyone cup decides follows knows obviously stage team
I think anyone who follows the U.S. team knows we're just getting better and better. Obviously the World Cup will tell. That will be the stage where the world decides where we are.
lack respect
I think there is a lack of respect for our soccer.
belong convince opportunity players strong
I think there's some disappointment in some players because it was an opportunity for them to try to convince me that they belong on our roster for the World Cup. Most did not have a strong argument; some did.
lead player
Landon is an experienced player. He's a player we will look to not only lead us but to be important in our attack.
