It's not so unusual for the defense to be ahead of the offense. It's pretty good that that's the case. If you can stop people, you have a chance to win some football games. I think we'll be improved on defense. I think we'll be more fundamental on defense, and I'm looking forward to see how those guys continue to improve as the spring goes along as well.

I can imagine what kind of ticket it will be for our fans. I don't know how many seats we'll get, but I guarantee you it won't be enough.

You want to be in the (Division I-AA) playoffs, you want to make the schedule strong, you want to get national attention. This fits the bill. We don't normally get an opportunity to play on national TV. We'll be (enjoying) things the big guys usually get. The exposure you get outweighs any drawbacks you might have.

It's all their call. When you have a situation like this, they've got to have the desire to get it done. And I think they thought it was about time.

It's uncharted territory for us. The history portion is one that you'd like to think would be significant. I don't know about ... why it has taken so long, but I'm just happy that we're getting a shot.

We would have scored a lot more if we could have gotten the ball back more often. I was surprised by some of the things they were able to do to our defense that kept the ball from us.
