Well never ever be as good on record as we are live because were not a full band unless those kids are there. We ride the ripples of that emotional tide like at a movie theatre. If theres any artistry to what I do, any gift that I have, its that somehow Ive been able to tap into that. People have told me that I guide it. I dont think so I think I ride itThats what Ill miss most when its all over. But maybe Ill just go to more movies.

You know when youre in a movie and you dont know anybody else in the theater and the most beautiful thing happens on the screen? Everybody there feels this overwhelming sense of whatever that emotion is? Youre surrounded by strangers but youre all feeling the same thing. The feeling is intensified because its being shared by three hundred people all at the same instant. Thats what we try to do, too.
