answers causes consistent definitely figure great mediocre next night takes team terrible trying watched whatever
We watched a lot of film, just trying to get answers and trying to figure out what causes us to play that way. We were definitely embarrassed by a mediocre team. We don't want to be a team that's great one night and terrible the next night. We have to do whatever it takes to be a consistent team.
chance explain game hard offense playoff problem stop team trying urgency win
We had a chance to win but it was like the whole game, we just couldn't stop them. Our offense wasn't the problem tonight. It was our defense. It's hard to explain when every game is so important, especially with a team we're trying to chase. Not to have that sense of urgency like it's a playoff game, is really a shame.
clothes food help money people trying
We're trying to give as much money and food and clothes as we can to just help people get back on their feet.
agenda coaches guys head hear help mentioned messes players responding seem stop trying valid win
Scott mentioned something to me about it. It's a valid point. There are times when the coaches kind of seem like they're always on the players and players just stop responding just because they feel as if they can do nothing right. It kind of messes with your head a bit. So when you hear it from the guys -- that our agenda is to win and we're trying to help each other and be there for each other -- it relaxes you a little bit.
heads steal supposed trying win
They're supposed to win at home. We were just trying to steal one here. Our heads are still up high. We're still very positive.
raise trying
It's going really well. We're just trying to raise as much as possible.
focused game gave hard plan playoff team trying urgency
It's hard to explain, every game is important especially with a team we're trying to chase. For us not to have that sense of urgency like it's a playoff game it's a shame. We should've been focused and executed the game plan and just gave an all-out effort, which we didn't.
early easy
I think early on, we thought everything would come easy for us.
chances formula limits percent shooting success
Our formula for success is our defense. When they're shooting plus-50 percent each game, that limits our chances to win.
earlier game games mature season starting team win
This was a game that earlier in the season we probably would not have won. We have really started to mature as a team and we're starting to win games like this.
adversity execute offensive overcome team throughout
We were able to execute on the offensive end. We know this team is going to (have to) overcome a lot of adversity throughout the year, and we showed that tonight.
elite games national sweet toughest
Some of your toughest games come in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. Usually, this is where we feel national championships are won.
bounce found legitimate tough
That was probably my first legitimate tough stretch. I always found a way to bounce back.
high start
That's the story all year. We start to tighten up. It's frustrating because we had such high expectations, and we're not getting it done.
