The terms of this deal are very generous to the union. I don't think it has any impact on the turnaround at Boeing, which is driven by productivity improvement, getting more planes out the door with less cost. It's independent of wage assets.

It's definitely a surprise. She's only been there a year, and she has been a major agent of change for the company. Her loss is very real because the lack of her leadership within the financial organization could be a real problem. Boeing is going to have to find someone of equal pro-activity in that area in order to keep up Wall Street's confidence.

The orders have already slumped this year. They're 40 percent to 50 percent off last year's run rate. We're already assuming reduced demand. The real driver is less the demand side and more the internal cost side.
