adapted against charles combine defensive dominant helped himself line move nice pro quickly senior step tackle top worked
Charles really helped himself at the Senior Bowl, he was dominant against some of the top defensive line prospects. He's worked out well at every step of the way. He did well at the combine and at our pro day. We had to move him to tackle and he adapted quickly and made the most of it. He's going to have a nice career.
beginning challenge coming exhibition games guys hard prepared pressure respond season talent time tough training virginia work
There will be a lot of pressure on us to get it right in training camp. We don't have any exhibition games, any 'give-me' games coming out of the blocks. Virginia is a very tough game, especially for an opener. We have young players, but they have talent and we'll work hard to get them ready. These guys will respond to the challenge and we'll be a lot better prepared for the beginning of the season this time through it.
continue learned practice work
Richardson will continue to practice and work hard. I think he has learned his lesson.
establish team type work
There's a lot of work to do to establish what type of team we're going to have,
build commitment head knew responsibility work
I know the responsibility that comes with being a head coach, and knew the work and commitment it would take to build a top-10 program. And that's the goal,
believe group history line major offensive spring strides together trying work
Someone told me that their offensive line is the most experienced group of offensive linemen that they've had in the history of the school. We've got a group that I believe has made major strides from the first day of spring practice, but it's a work in progress. We're still trying to put the thing together a little bit.
committed follow guys people players reason week work
I'll follow those guys. They're the best. Guys like Zach and Jason, that's the reason you coach. Players that work like that and who are committed like that -- people that you can trust, week in and week out. That's what makes it fun.
incorrect job might nice official putting replay skeptical stopping taking
I really like it. I was a little skeptical the way we were doing it here and putting everything on the replay official in the box. But they've done a nice job if they thought that something might be incorrect of stopping it and taking a look.
except hard
I can't do anything about that except to keep working hard and show them what I can do.
comprehend execute players time
You can only do what your players can execute ... what your players have time to comprehend and learn.
charlie comprehend defense dolphins execute miami players time
You can only do what your players can execute and have time to comprehend and learn, ... So for me to think we're going to do a lot of the things we're able to do with the Miami Dolphins defense is unrealistic. And it's the same thing Charlie is going through.
builders catch confidence nine
Greg (Lee) will make that catch nine out of 10 times, Erik Gill - that's another touchdown he fumbled out of the end zone. Those things are all confidence builders and something we'll have to correct.
guy taken
He's been unbelievable. This guy has come in here and taken over this whole thing.
college experience figure four high schools trying uncertain unknown
In the NFL, we've had the four preseason games, and even high schools around here have scrimmages. ... That's the unknown or the uncertain part of this whole college experience that I'm still trying to figure out a little bit.
