It's looks like we're going to end up closing out the year down around 40 percent less than what we did last year for the community donations in December. December is our make-it-or-break-it month.

Our schools haven't started their food drives yet and we're kind of in a bind right now to get decent food baskets together for those who are in need.

There was never an opportunity I asked for food and didn't receive it. People are so giving ... and they have really been a blessing in the past year when I've asked for food that we need.

We'll just have to regroup and look at things in a different way.

We have exhausted our supply of canned meats. We need things like cans of chili, crackers, flour, corn meal, dried spaghetti and dried beans and rice. We have plenty of vegetables but we need those things to round the meal out.
