Every day in practice we would tell the kids to think about the big picture. They worked hard and we had setbacks, but that's high school basketball. You take two steps forward and one back.

She went off in the third quarter. She hit one shot when she was open and after that she got some confidence. She knocked down some shots with a hand in her face and she got to the foul line later in the game.

The kids are kind of excited about playing in their old home. The Civic Arena is strictly a basketball facility as opposed to the new multi-purpose facilities. These kids understand about Aberdeen basketball and its history. Some of their parents played in the arena.

I'm very proud of our kids, I'm very proud of the effort. Nobody gave us any shot ... We've been talking about Roosevelt and some of the other teams, but I tell you what, my team played with a lot of heart and a lot of character, and I'm very proud of them.

They just didn't give up. We're a good basketball team at the right part of the year. We're playing as hard as we have all season. We're playing as well as we have all season. I'm very happy with the effort of our kids.

It was a great effort. We put so much pressure on the ball. The second half we turned it up. They did it for the seniors.

We've been off to such slow starts, and we tried to make that a point of emphasis to our kids: we have to get off to quicker starts.

We needed to attack offensively and we didn't do that very well. I didn't think we moved very well. We were hesitant to shoot. Our kids didn't play with a lot of confidence on the offensive end. Against Huron, you have to pressure them on both sides of the ball.

We came out here and competed as well as we possibly could. I'm proud of our kids' effort. I'm proud of our kids and admire them for their effort.

We'll turn it over to the seniors. They're excellent leaders and have been getting the job done.

We emphasized doing the things we do well. You can't go away from our strengths. When Pierre took away things, we went to our next option. The kids just wanted it (win) so much.
