Both (state trips) are good, but I think I like this one better because we showed we can overcome some adversity and get back.

A lot of people might look on us right now as a team relying on the three-pointer, but we are just taking what teams give us. We are feeling confident from the outside, and James is doing a good job finding us for open baskets.

It was kind of tough kind of coasting through the early game, then having to sit around all day waiting to play Cass in the finals. I think that kind of affected our game a little.

We got a little more patient on offense. As we got more patient, we were able to hit more shots. We didn't try to rush our shots.

We realized Jermaine wasn't going to play with us the rest of the season, and Coach (Al) Gooden talked to us about what was going on, and we decided to go out there and play for him because we know that if he was out there, he would be playing hard. I have a chance to talk to him when I can, which is mostly everyday. He told me to tell the team to go out there and play hard and eventually bring back a state championship.

Yeah, he's got a lot of mental toughness, and I think we take after him.
