Sometimes it takes a bit longer. We want to be able to close the case and prosecute it.

This individual basically lived in the area, had gone to a convenience store to purchase alcohol. That was the last time he was seen. The clerk refused him alcohol. Apparently he was very intoxicated at the time and wasn't seen since then.

I live on a main street, and probably three or four times a week I'm picking up McDonald's cups or beer bottles. I've lived in the same place for 22 years, and it's been an ongoing problem.

The family is so traumatized at the time of the event that it's not until much later that they might start thinking about things and wondering if there are connections.

Always be aware of your surroundings, but it's difficult (to do anything) when someone comes up with a gun.

The victim has become very uncooperative. He won't provide any more information to the detectives and some of the details he has given have been very inconsistent. It's gotten to the point where he doesn't want to deal with us anymore. We've tried everything.

Apparently his ex-girlfriend was there with somebody else, and it escalated somehow into a fight.

The only thing we are going to say is that we are actively investigating this case. We have seven detectives working full-time on this case.

We have a group of women who volunteer who don't have to do this. They're all busy but they give their time and money to this. They have the same vision and same goals and want to make a difference in the community. It's a few people doing a lot of work.
