attitude heart measure people picked win
People had them picked to win it all. You can't measure the attitude and heart of the kids.
defense good indication knocked people played second size
I thought they knocked down some big shots. I thought they played good defense in the second half. Obviously, we played with everything we've got. The size of the people is no indication of the size of their hearts.
carry definitely far helping huge opens pressure willing
She's been huge for us as far as helping carry the team. She's definitely our go-to player. She does so many things for us and opens things up for other people. She understands and is willing to take the pressure off of her teammates.
gets maybe points score steals ton
Jodi maybe doesn't score a ton of points for us every night, but she does a lot of other things that make us go and make us better. Se gets a lot of rebounds, steals and assists and spreads the defense.
goal hopefully kids noise state talked
I think experience-wise I'll be able to tell them some things, what it's all about and what the atmosphere's like. Getting to state was a big goal for these kids though, they've talked about that '99 team, and they wanted to get back there. Hopefully we'll make some noise in Des Moines.
huge planned season
That's huge for us. We had planned to play the whole season without her.

They've been our big two all year. They're great (players) and obviously that showed that today.
definitely tonight tough
That's what we try to do. We definitely wanted to get after it and play tough defense, and tonight I think we got out and got going a little better than we have lately.
biggest excited few iowa kids minute relax represent time
I think the biggest thing is being able to relax and get over those first few minute jitters. I think the kids are excited about getting there, but at the same time we're going down there to try to represent southwest Iowa well.

I would really like to express my appreciation to the community for getting behind these kids throughout the year and showing your support.

This was a great team effort on the kids' part. We had several different kids step up and do some nice things throughout the game.
adjustment boys bringing mature size understand worked
We've been bringing in some of the varsity boys to simulate the size and quickness, and it's worked pretty well. It's an adjustment for our kids. They're very mature young ladies, and they understand we're bringing (the boys) in to make them better.
coming pressure relaxed
We were pretty relaxed coming in, there was no pressure on us. The pressure was on them.
ball game knock understanding
We had opportunities to put the ball game away, but did not knock down our bunnies. We must also get better at understanding end-of-game situations.
