chance game gave good medicine needed scratch starters worst
We needed a game like this in the worst way. It was good because it gave our starters a chance to play and not have to scratch to be in the game. It was good medicine for us.
attack bit catch creates man room space
We're more in an attack mode, which creates rebounding lanes and a little bit more space where his man has to help. He can get it, catch it and has a little more room to operate.
hold playing time walk
We always hold out hope. Mathematically we're still in it. Every time we walk out on the floor, we're playing for something and we're playing for improvement.
forcing love taking understand
Would I love to have them? Yes, but I understand injuries, and there's no use in forcing it or taking any chances.
coming confidence funny great losing position shoot starting sure
Confidence is a funny thing. You shoot great when you have it. I'm sure that's some of it, losing the starting position and then coming back. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.
flexible goal ready starting trade
It's your goal starting out to make the playoffs. I didn't see not making the playoffs, no, I didn't, not at all. First, I didn't see the trade (with Boston) coming. I didn't see going into the development direction. But again, you've got to be ready for that and flexible for that as an organization being on the same page.
rhythm start time together
At some time we have to start getting a rhythm together and getting a feel for each other, and we wanted that to be this week.
playing starting
As long as he is playing at that level, he is our starting center.
boards defensive hard offensive run
It's hard to run out when you don't get defensive stops. They got so many offensive boards that it slowed down our momentum.
execute mentally
It's not really who you play; it's us. It's how we mentally prepare. It's how we execute offensively. It's how we execute defensively more so than who the other (team) is.
continuing good hard job keeping team together train veteran
He's done a good job of going in there and keeping it together and continuing to train - which is hard to do sometimes. Especially when you have a veteran team like that . . . that's used to doing things their way.
sees somebody
If he sees somebody open, he's going to make the pass. He's very unselfish, which is what you want in your superstar.
allowed confidence easy forced quick rhythm took
I thought we took some quick shots, which allowed them to get easy buckets. It got their confidence going; it got their rhythm going. We forced some shots.
blew couple past
I don't think they blew by us once on those mid-pick-and-rolls. The past couple games, they've had a smorgasbord.
