Edward Palmer Thompson, usually cited as E. P. Thompson, was a British historian, writer, socialist and peace campaigner. I would be naive to think that it's not going to be heavily influenced by a lot of things he's taught me.
I like to see when they rise in ranks and achieve their goals. It is good to know that you helped them achieve goals, that you taught them the skills that you know and that they are going to need.
