Yeah, I definitely sensed that. And that's why I was so adamant about getting back and trying to help the team as much as possible. I realize I don't have to score to help them, my presence alone, just me being so big and taking up space helps them out a lot.
It is hard to try and find a rhythm when you're only out there for short spurts, but it's fine,
I know I have to learn how to turn it on and off. I have to learn to be a totally different player on the court than I am off the court. That's kind of what I'm struggling with right now, just trying to find that switch so I can turn it on and off.
I definitely see that out here in his coaching, ... He really stresses perfection out there for the bigs and for his point guards. Totally different style from what coach Skiles did. It's two different coaches, so I'm just trying to get used to everything and just take it all in.
I think it's going to continue spreading throughout the league because what players are finding is once they try them they really work. It's not just a fashion thing.
We've got to be able to play well the whole game. We can't go up 25 on a team and let them get back in. We've got to try to be consistent the whole game. I mean the win was great, but we could have very easily let it go the other way at the end of the game.
With coach Brown things are liable to change at any moment. You never really know, ... If you're not playing hard or he feels you're not doing the right thing, he's going to get you out. It's ultimately up to him to decide who he wants in the game.
We kind of came unglued a little bit,
Winning is going to cure a lot of the things that we're going through as a team, so it makes some of the little stuff seem small, like it should be. If we continue to play the way we're playing, it's going to be a real good new year for us.
To win is great, but we could have easily let it go the other way. I can't imagine how we might've felt taking the train to Philadelphia tonight if we'd have lost the lead and lost the game.
When I saw Burke come in, I definitely felt like things were (about) to turn around for me a little bit. I'm sure he's a great player and everything but I think the refs let Kurt Thomas get away with a little more than Burke can.
We definitely are playing better, but still have lapses. We still have a ways to go. As long as we go out with a high effort you never know.
We definitely didn't feel the season was over, ... We realized it was only 9 games of an 82-game season. It was definitely far from over.
Y'all pulled out the old stuff, ... This is the vintage stuff. Throwback. This is crazy, man, crazy.
