He's a strong kid. He's usually throwing in upper 80's and lower 90's. I think it's those guys who have gotten the experience that are going to have to step up and be the leaders.

It was a dandy game. We were fortunate. We hung in there and got clutch hits. That's what you have to do in this district.

I'm really proud of the way we played. Beau Ballard pitched an outstanding game. We scored a few runs early and made them stand up. We made a lot of plays defensively.

I thought we were rolling along really good, but we just couldn't close the door in the seventh. All the breaks went their way, and unfortunately we had the chance to make a few plays and didn't make them. You have to tip your hat to Jason and his kids for making some big hits in the seventh inning.

I'm proud of our kids. We got ahead early. I'm proud of them for hanging in there when it got tight.

After he won his first league championship game, he went out and bought scooters for everybody. He never said anything to the league, never asked permission.

It's a big one. Tomball, over the last few years, has won as many games as anybody in the state. Their staff does a great job. Hopefully we can have a big crowd. It's a shot-in-the-arm for our kids. This may be the best ball club we've face this year.

It was a rough weekend. We were kind of a little banged up when we came this way. We held a couple of guys out, and we wanted to get some continuity this weekend.

It was a big win. North Shore had beaten a good Cy-Fair ball club. I told our kids they were going to be in a seven-inning fight. I was real proud of the way we played. We made plays when we had to. Jeremy showed a lot of composure and we made some big plays behind him.

Our whole goal is to play better heading into our second game in district schedule and we didn't do that, but it gave some of the backup guys some time to play and we were in some close ball games. You can only practice and simulate that a few times. There's no substitute for that. Hopefully this can be something we can learn from as we start district.
proud stop struggled
I'm proud of getting there. I'd like to play better when we got there. We were in it, but we were just a little in experienced. We struggled a little bit, and we couldn't stop the bleeding.

It's a big one, we didn't really have a good weekend. We are hoping to bounce back and get something going.
