except people players staying talked
All of those things are important except staying No. 1. That's not anything we've ever talked about. But the players know what's on the line. And it is Carolina, so I really don't have to say a whole lot to get people motivated.
knew married people privilege ready reasons time
I don't think being married has made her more mature. I think because she was (already) so mature, it was one of the reasons she knew she was ready to be married. She's always been from the time we recruited her one of the most mature, responsible people that I've ever had the privilege to be around.
basketball bit people tune
People that aren't typically women's basketball fans, if they just tune in for a little bit and see them play, they'll come back for more.
basketball grow people
I didn't want them to just grow as basketball players. I wanted them to grow as people as well.
concerned job people shows unselfish
It makes my job easier. I think it shows with our assists, how unselfish they are, but also with the minutes. People are only concerned with the end result.
becoming efficient minutes people players stay wear
I think we're very comfortable with (the rotation) now and I think our players are becoming much more efficient. (Currie) was just very efficient with her minutes and I think part of it is because she's able to stay fresh. And I think we wear people down that way as well.
block changes gets might people thinking
Once she gets into your head, she changes the things you want to do. She has people thinking that she might block their shot.
afterwards almost bad easy game team
I told the team afterwards that it's not a bad thing to have a game like this. It's been almost too easy for us up to this point. Everything was flowing; everything was in sync. This game things did not go well for us, but we did what was necessary.
fortunate four helping learn love maybe particular rest retirement special spend team time
I would love to have Alana for the rest of my life. I think I was just very fortunate to have her for four years. When you have someone that special to get to spend four years with, while helping them learn and grow, it is special. It was her time to go and it's someone else's time to shine. I don't think it's one person in particular but maybe just this team in general.
impressed keeps somebody tough
I'm really impressed with Jefferson. She just keeps getting better and better. She's somebody who can get her own shots. She's strong, she's physical, she's athletic. She's just a tough kid.
blown good team
I think it was good for us mentally. We haven't blown a team out in a while, and I think it was good for our confidence.
blown confidence fleeting game good mentally physically rust team
I think it was good for us mentally. We haven't blown a team out in a while. ... Confidence is sometimes such a fleeting thing. Honestly, this game was probably better for us mentally than physically other than to get the rust off.
carolina fortunate home job last site year
I think we all need to do a better job of bidding to have sites. Carolina was fortunate to have a home site last year, as was Maryland. I think every year, year in and year out, we need to be bidding.
beautiful history ugly win
I think this is the most beautiful ugly win we've had in the history of our program.
