effort encouraged guys match prove
I'm encouraged the way the guys are working. They're getting better. They want to prove they can match the effort in consecutive weeks.
half taking worth
If he's got half of his old man's toughness, he'll be worth taking a look at.
bullets defended felt friend good help locally stood stunning todd took
It was stunning because Todd ... is a very good friend of mine, and I didn't know he had a problem. I felt I had let him down as a friend because I didn't see it. I didn't know if I could help him or not. I took some bullets here locally because I defended him and I stood by him. What kind of friend would I have been if I hadn't been there for him?
confident defensive guy job jump last worked
He's an experienced guy that worked with our defensive coordinator (Mike Church) last season. We are confident he can jump in and get the job done.
bunch line minus though
Even though we were minus a bunch of players, our line did well.
assistant coaches game guys harder longer playing ready
The assistant coaches are getting these guys ready on game day. There's nothing complicated about the whole thing. We're playing longer and harder right now.
blame giving line press san trouble
San Jose was giving us trouble with their press coverage. Our receivers couldn't get off the line and get open, so you can't blame that on the quarterback.
beat bite san team trouble
They're a much better team at home. They beat San Jose at home, and we know how much trouble we've had with San Jose. They can come up and bite anybody.
family good job team
Selfishly, I wanted my family to see our team play and let them know we are doing a good job out here. We put a good show on tonight.

line money reasonably
They have a lot of money sunk into the line and in Marcus. It's tough. The salary-cap thing squeezes all of us. They've got two reasonably priced quarterbacks.
began believe face lost three turned wonder
Let's face it, it was a struggle. When we lost our first three games, we began to wonder if we were going to win. I believe we've turned the corner.
knew nobody took
Nobody took them lightly; we knew they were 3-2 at home.
arena bottom chance difference dropped fourth good kicked line pass protect
You've got to play and the bottom line is that they kicked our (expletive) up front. When you've got a good quarterback, you've got to protect him. We didn't do that. We had a chance to make plays. We dropped a touchdown pass on fourth down. Little things like that are the difference in Arena football.
