After Kris Johnson, all our pitchers pitched like they were scared. I don't know why. We were quite an embarrassment tonight, to the whole program and the history and tradition of our program.

The key to any game offensively is whether you adjust to the pitcher. We didn't adjust to that pitcher at all. We didn't do much of anything offensively.

I have no idea how he caught that ball. You can't say enough about Matt Brown and how he plays the outfield. There's nothing about the way he performs that surprises me, but every time he makes a catch like that, it's better than the last one.

I am happy with the personnel, ... We've got the potential to be much, much better than we showed this fall. It's going to boil down to who is most consistent day to day.

He was ahead in the count most of the time, and he commanded his breaking ball down. I thought he threw with confidence.

He has played very well defensively at third base. He's swinging the bat well. He can add some punch.

Our pitchers set a miserable tone from the outset. We got burned. The amazing thing is we were within two runs of being run-ruled in the sixth inning. I'm really proud of our offensive team. It didn't quit, it didn't give up.
enjoy game good reason trying
For some reason, we're not getting through to the players. And I know they're trying; they're trying hard. You've just got to come and play the game to enjoy and have a good time. They're not.
dominated game last quick seven sure thankful
That's how quick a game can change. We dominated for seven innings, but we sure didn't do much the last two innings. I was disappointed with that, but thankful to get the win.
