You still want to play your position. But if you see an opening, you do have the green light to jump in and (try to score). You don't want to make a habit out of it every shift, though. You still want to play your position because you know your (defensive) partner is probably going to be thinking the same thing as you (and try to score).

I loved the energy (on defense). It seemed like we had our thinking caps on. We didn't give them many chances, and the chances that they did, (St. Pierre) really took care of them.

We had great jump (Friday) and great jump (Saturday). We wanted to have great jump tonight. We wanted it, but it wasn't there. Somehow we've got to get through that. Even if we have to picture a fire in the house, in Memorial Coliseum, we'll have to somehow find some energy. Tonight, the well was there but it just didn't produce anything. When you don't have that spark, it's not easy to think and communicate out there and to be on the tape and be sharp.
bit bite great intensity second smarter
We have to come out with a bit more intensity than we did. We have to be smarter with the penalties. After a while, it's going to bite us, and it did there in the second period. We can't continually keep doing that. If we can come out with great intensity and play disciplined, then we've got a great shot.

We just want to go out there and have fun, put some effort into it and have some fun with the guys and see what happens.
