By the end of the year, we had kids believing and that was a benchmark. By the end of the season they truly believed they belonged wrestling on the varsity level. They believed in the program and what I'm teaching them is going to help them.

He is taking up some new styles. I just showed him a new offensive shot and he had three takedowns in the finals with it for six points.

He's been pretty focused since he took sixth last year. He walked off pretty disgusted with himself and since then, he's said to me and said to himself this year he's turning it around. He's trying to move to the top spot.

He only gave up three escapes and then he basically just took them back down.

It was pin or be pinned. Just four matches went the distance. It was a close win and they did a nice job.
dominant kid milwaukee pinned week
He was very aggressive. He was working all week on making everything solid. He was up 16-3 over the Milwaukee Vincent kid (in the championship match) when he pinned him, so he was very dominant today.

coming hard improving lost scary seniors throughout wrestling year
We had lost 14 seniors in 10 varsity spots. It was pretty scary coming into the season. My expectations were not around winning, it was more about wrestling hard and improving throughout the year and getting the most I could out of my kids.
