The goal of our program is that no student will be denied because of income. I have never seen young people gravitate to learning like they have this way. The No. 1 mantra for me is dialogue.

A handicap is not about how we walk, talk, act, dress or do things. It's about things that keep us from being what God's planned us to be. Attitudes can definitely handicap us, or relationships we keep that we should have gotten rid of, or relationships that we should have kept. Those things can be a handicap.

Many of these places that we visit on this trip are hallowed ground; they are sacred spots. I never call this a tour because a tour implies that we drop you off and pick you up. This is a journey; it's really a journey of the soul.

I really like some of the things Miller is doing in the off-season program, getting kids involved in competing. I'm real big on kids doing multiple sports.

He's doing well. We're finding out what he does well play-action and bootleg and what he doesn't. We're not going to throw the long ball with David. He's doing a pretty good job with the quick passing game.

These teams are playing killer schedules. But we won't even talk about the other teams. We don't look and see who's playing who. People get lost in that. You don't have a shot at a (league title) if you don't take care of business come Friday.

We're real excited about Hay being in the Old Spice Red Zone program. It's great for him, and it's also great recognition for the team.
