We're sending a united message to Waste Management that it's time to do the right thing by the people who keep New York's neighborhoods clean and disease-free. One hundred and twenty hardworking men and women with families were forced on strike by this company's attempts to gut our pay, benefits and particularly our health care. Sanitation work is a dangerous job with a high injury rate. Yet Waste Management is drastically raising the price of our health care while cutting coverage -- at a time when they're making record profits.
