James Alvin "Jim" Palmeris a retired American right-handed pitcher who played all of his 19 years in Major League Baseballwith the Baltimore Oriolesand was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990. They were all heavy smokers. Looking back, I would have loved to be able to maintain friendships with those guys.
He wasn't going to lie to you. He took great pride in what he did, and understood how to play the game.

I put away that stuffed God I had all stitched up with my human understandings and fears. God is less formulaic and quantifiable as he once used to be, but experiencing the reality of his love is infinitely better than dragging that other one around.
