responsibility player thinking
I think the (brawl) made the league and the players more conscious of our responsibility to the public.
basketball thinking play
I didn't so much think I needed to address the shooting need. What we needed was somebody who could come in and play the two-three (shooting guard-small forward) spot. If he could've been a pure shooter, great. But if not, we still needed somebody to give us minutes there. I like the guys we've got.
night thinking hands
We can talk about the value of sportsmanship on one hand, and on the other hand, the leading shots, highlights ... you see every night are the outrageous and unsportsmanlike, so I think there is a double standard here. On the one hand, we complain about it, on the other hand it's the first thing you see every night.
running thinking groups
The one thing that I really want, ... is for our second group to be an energy unit. That's what we had in our championship run, and that's what I think you are starting to see with this group.
wants
I think we will get something done long-term. We are going to keep him here. Tay wants that, I want that and Duffy wants that. We'll get something done.
anyone attention blamed brought fact guy loved saw
I saw a guy who persevered when many would've crumbled. Chauncey never blamed anyone else for his situation, and I loved his disposition, the fact he never brought attention to himself.
flip focus game guys playing sure
Our guys just need to focus on the game and who they are playing against. Flip Saunders and I will make sure our guys know that we just want them to concentrate on the game and nothing else.
position
I think he's in a position where he would feel like he has something to prove.
everybody game gets gift involved plays sees special talent understand
I think he's special because he has a gift to understand the game and the talent to back it up. He sees the floor, he gets everybody else involved and he plays to win.
chance experience great national needed
I think it has been a great experience for Darko to get a chance to play and be around his national team. He really needed this summer.
awesome feat hat kobe mind tip word
I think it is an awesome feat what Kobe did the other night, and I tip my hat to him. The one word that comes to mind when I think about what he accomplished is SPECIAL.
appreciate attitudes coaches great guys league saying team thank voting
I would just like to thank the coaches in the league for recognizing our players. What the coaches are saying by voting our guys on is that they appreciate unselfishness, great attitudes and team basketball.
creek happen lead
Who are we going to get that, if something does happen to Chauncey, is going to lead us to a championship? You're up the creek without a paddle anyway.
happy healthy knows time trying unique win
Lindsey is a unique situation. He knows what we need from him and when we need it. We're not trying to win the preseason world championship. This is the time for him to get healthy and we're more than happy to use this time for that.
