Right above his eyebrow, he split about a three-inch gash in his head. It was pretty deep but I thought if we could stitch it up right away, he could wrestle. After about 10 minutes, though, it became too sore and swollen.

Overall it was a pretty good weekend for us but I really expected us to get the win over Virginia. There were about three more matches that we should have won but that's how it goes sometimes. You can't give up back points like we did late in those matches.

Nick went out there and took a bunch of shot early but got tired and ran out of gas. I'll take the blame on that one because we should have wrestled Larry (Reichard). I thought Nick had a good week of practice and maybe knee-wise he was ready to go out there but conditioning-wise he wasn't.

I think we've gotten a lot better but we need to keep plugging away. Every single one of our guys needs to get better on the bottom. We've just got to work at that and build more confidence doing it.

We only won four matches but we got bonus points from three of those four. Cleveland State is a decent team that beat Ohio State earlier this month. There's kind of a rivalry between us so we were fired up and ready to wrestle.
