I have to say that the Town Council and the Board of Finance have been very consistent in giving us a three to four percent increase. This proposed budget is very lean even though we are asking for a seven percent increase.

I guess this is just sort the next step after the first decision. I understand how this decision was made, but I really hope that it will be overturned on appeals.

They basically to say this is my wish list, but this what we have to have.

Once you get passed all the fixed increases you ask what else you are going to need. I t leaves only a few hundred thousand dollars for programs that we want to add.
