Our kids kind of panicked there at the end. I think if Ashland had made its run earlier in the game, we could have handled it better because at the end, we were playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Earlier, when we got our big lead, we were attacking and playing to win.

I'm proud of our guys and the effort they gave. We might not have won a sectional championship but I told them in the locker room after the game they played like champions. They never quit. It would have been easy to pack it in when we got down by 10 points, but they kept fighting.

We feel like we're playing our best basketball of the season right now. This is a great accomplishment, but the kids are not satisfied. Fremont is a great team, but these kids want to win a sectional championship.

We are still playing inconsistently. We played with great intensity in the fourth quarter. We need to play with that level of intensity for four quarters instead of one.
