The theme is, 'We're the PGA Tour, we're supporting New Orleans, we look forward to seeing you, we look forward to coming back and we believe in you. We're not trying to script it, but picture six weeks of commercials, with 15 to 20 players saying they're coming to New Orleans. We think it will make an impact.
compassion gotten overall player pleased support
It's unrealistic to think every player could come. We're very pleased with the support we've gotten from the players, their overall compassion for the city. Many have contributed financially.
children early grateful guys hear help money names needy raise rare support
Its rare that we hear from so many big names this early in the year. We are so grateful to these guys for their support as it will help us raise more money for needy children in our area.
accepted event local pain present sponsors
We did not want the local sponsors to have to tell us no. We wanted to present an event and make it affordable. We've accepted some short-term pain for long-term gain.
