barracks homes lived people permanent worked
Over 300 stonecutters worked there in the summer, ... during its heyday. Many lived in the barracks on the site. The permanent people lived in homes in Redstone.
busy relief

It is unusual to see two distinct colors there so close together: green and pink,

Remnants of the stone shed where they did the finishing work, ... the foundation is there.
dry gets ground next ready trying
Once the ground gets saturated, we get slides. We're just trying to dry out and get ready for the next one.
family granite great owned reason
The reason I got involved, ... is that my family is in the granite business. Swenson and (The H.E.) Fletcher (Company) owned Redstone for 43 years, after the Great Depression.
