I'm real happy with the effort the guys gave. For some reason, our offense really stalled in the fourth quarter. Maybe shot selection and discretion was a little poor, but I can't fault their effort.

That was a very cool and emotional moment, and something I'll always remember. We beat Cheboygan for our sixth win, Mr. Hart was watching the game, and when he came down on the field after, he got the ball out of respect for the relationship he had with the community and athletics here.

The game could have gone either way. We didn't execute the first three possessions (of the fourth quarter) the way we should, all of a sudden were down by six and the game goes by the wayside.

We played very, very well. We had our keys. We knew what we needed to do and that was to keep Root and Cockrell off the boards and make them prove they could make the outside shot.

We didn't play very well, but we played well enough to win. We have a 10-day break now and it's a coach's dream to go into it with three wins in a row and getting everyone into the last two games.

We did not want to come out and be in the doldrums that I thought could happen coming off a 10-day break and then Escanaba and a loss. And then a few more days, all of a sudden a team comes in here that's 1-8 and they're hanging around. As long as we come out and stick it to them, we're going to take charge.
