chance found gave happy people series situations win
I just think we have a high-character team. In situations like this, I think you find out about a lot of people. I'm just happy for them that they found a way to get a win in here to make this a series because I don't think a lot of people gave us a chance to win a game.
ability against anyone far league skating
I'll put him up against anyone in this league as far as skating ability.
arty asset best gets league next plays skaters sticks team tremendous type whacked
I look at the Tucker incident. That was pretty much one-on-one and he whacked him twice, gets fined and plays the next game. Arty hasn't done anything like this. He just plays hard. That's all we want the league to understand. Yes, he sticks out because he skates, one of the best skaters in the league, and he's big and he's willing. We feel that is a tremendous asset for our team and the league for that type of play to be going on.
business interested livelihood people themselves
I know people have to look out for themselves and their livelihood and there is business in this, but we're interested in people who want to be here. We're in to other youth. We're in to other players.
adversity fight game gone knew learn points situation stress taking time ton trying ups
I knew there was going to be a ton of adversity and a lot of ups and downs, and that's what's happened. We've gone through some now for 41 games. Now we have to learn to fight through it and just try to find a way to get points. We are not in a situation where, and I'm trying to stress to the guys, don't look at the standings or projections or this, that or the other thing. We're taking it a game at a time and I think that really has to be our concentration. One game at a time and try to find a way to get points each and every game.
certain clear coaches focused heads job pick possibly sure talked tough
I think our job as coaches is to make sure their heads are as clear as they can possibly be because there are so many things being talked about certain players. It's tough for a player. It's their livelihood. Are they going to pick up and move? Our job is just to try to keep them focused on the job at hand.
forget game glad start tough wait
I just couldn't wait to start another game to forget about the (Washington) game. You do have to look by it, but it was a tough one to eat. So I'm glad they rebounded.
game glad gone losses start toughest wait
I just couldn't wait to start another game. That was probably, to me, one of the toughest losses I've gone through. I'm glad they responded.
johnny playing point
I just don't like playing (Burke) back-to-back at this point in the season, so Johnny went in.
good guys happy players team year
I'm very happy with the way the organization's working, because who would've thought that so many minor-league players would come to this team this year and played, and some guys have stuck. I think our organization, how it's working, is a good thing.
happy
I'm very happy with the way the organization is working.
goes thinking won
In a seven-month season, everyone goes back to when we won the Cup. We're not even thinking about that.
anyone honest rip until
I'm not up here to rip anyone apart, but let's be honest about what's going on here. And it's getting old. We're going nowhere, nowhere, until (the goaltending) is straightened out.
anybody honest hope plays rip situation trying until
I hope he plays well. If he plays well, he's going to go again. I'm not up here trying to rip anybody apart. Let's be honest about what's going on here, and it's getting old. We're going no where until that situation is straightened out.
