Johnny David Damonis an American professional baseball outfielder who began playing in Major League Baseballin 1995. He last played in 2012, though he has not officially retired. In his MLB career, Damon has played for the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Raysand Cleveland Indians. I thought Joe's introductory speech really hit home. He talked about enjoying the game, not letting it pass you by, knowing we do have a good team. That's why the goal here is getting to the World Series.

This is only one game, but it's disappointing. We had only four hits and we can't do that. It was a tough night to hit for everybody, but we have to do better.

I knew when it was hit they were definitely going to be in trouble unless somebody called the ball. Those guys are so important to our team, we need them to get healthy as quick as possible.

I was starting to feel the groove again, and then I had this minor setback, ... But I'm not going to feel dissuaded by my performance. As long as the team wins, that's OK. Unfortunately, they seem to coincide.
