He stepped in and really wrestled well. I think that's a perfect example of our depth this season. We've had our share of injuries this season, but guys have stepped up and performed whenever they were asked.

That was a great match. Adam scored late to tie it up, but lost on a last second reversal. Adam wrestled well, it was just one of those things.

Adam was winning by one late, but he was called for stalling to tie the match. It was kind of a tough call right there. Then their guy escapes in overtime to get the win. You can't fault Adam there. He wrestled a very good match.

He was a non-seeded regional kid and makes it all the way to the third-place match. He's a perfect example of how these kids have battled this year.

It's real nice to see Morris get through. He's had some ups and downs this season. He's a determined kid and it showed with that last win.

That just killed Matt's momentum. Picture yourself thinking you won a match and then having it taken from you, he didn't recover from that and it cost him.

We need to have 11, 12 guys, at least, get through to the sectionals. Ideally, we'd get all 14 of them through and I think we can do that if we all do what we have been doing all season long. The top three in each class get through and I think it's a good goal to get all of them through.

We had five guys in championship matches and that's the most we've ever had. You have to be happy with that.

We'll enjoy it for a couple of hours. But it's right back to practicing in the morning.

We had a really good day today. The 10 kids that we had advance came in and really banged. It was a team effort. We feel real good about it. The kids are sore and banged up, but they competed real hard.

We're going up there and taking it one match at a time. Right now, we're just celebrating our first sectional.
battle injuries next practice ready tuesday
We're going to get after it in practice and then be ready to go on Tuesday night. We're going to take a look at our injuries and see who can and can't go, and then go battle and try to get back up here next weekend.
