chance felt few forward grasp lead legitimate looking united win
I?ve never had a legitimate chance to win here (in the United States), ... I?ve had a few top-fives, but I felt like I?ve never really had a grasp of the lead or a real chance to win. This is my first go at it, I feel, and, hey, I?m looking forward to it.
bit course learned respect
I've learned this is a course you have to give a little bit of respect to.
bogey fact felt kept pleased reach situation
I was never in a situation where I couldn't reach the green, so I felt that was what I did well today. I think I'm probably more pleased about the fact that I've kept a bogey off my card, than 12 birdies.
close good guys lead low might reckon scores somebody sunday
I reckon 66 might be a good number. The scores were wild. Sunday is a little different deal. There's enough guys close to the lead that somebody is going to go low tomorrow.
chasing desire emotional focused gets hopefully instead ready stay wait win
I'm ready and I can't wait to win. But you can't let that desire to win take over and you can't get too emotional about it. You just have to play shot-for-shot and stay focused and hopefully that win just gets in your way instead of chasing it.
chance enjoying expect ourselves separated somebody time win year
I'm very happy. This is the first time I've had a chance to win this year and I'm enjoying it. We separated ourselves a little bit, but somebody always makes a run, so you have to expect that.
attitude believed pull quit
I'm disappointed, but there were a lot of positives. My attitude was good. I never quit and didn't let go, always believed I could still pull it off.
bit both finished heart hearts situation situations won
I feel in my heart of hearts that I should have won both of those tournaments. I feel like if I would have been in that situation a little bit more regularly, I think I would have finished both of those situations off.
good hit player suits tend
You tend to hit your whole bag, from 3-iron to wedge. I don't think it suits one player or another. That's why it's such a good place.
helped learned miles million point thinking until winning
I?ve learned it?s a million miles from winning the tournament, and I think that has helped me. Obviously, there?s no point thinking about winning until Sunday. It can only get in your way until then.
certainly european feels four halfway lead stage won
I?ve had the lead and, obviously, I?ve won four times (on the European PGA Tour). It feels like I haven?t been there in a while and certainly to lead by 4 at the halfway stage is a little different.
bogey felt fight grind mentally point saying slow sort start worry
I try to make a point of saying to myself, 'Well listen, it's out of the way. Now you don't have to worry about not making a bogey now. I got off to a slow start and felt sort of mentally I had to grind my way and fight my way back into it.
defensive great teammates trying
I was just trying to get my teammates involved. We had a great defensive effort. That was a team when right there.
It's not a young man's game, necessarily. I think we're all on schedule.
