capable coming fully kick winning
You want to kick them while they are down. We know that they are fully capable of coming out here and winning two games. So we are going to have to play very well.
franchise game playing
It was their first game without her (Smith), we didn't want to underestimate them. She was a franchise player, I don't know what that would feel like not playing with someone like that all of a sudden.
ball dreamed game hands last nice threw winning
I threw the ball away in the last two minutes, so it was nice to have it in my hands afterward. I've always dreamed of winning a title, and I have the ball in my hands when the game ends.
looking looks
I wanted to be more of a table-setter in this game, but if I had the looks I was going to take them. I'm a shooter. I'm always looking for my shot.
basketball bigger confidence games injuries miss player point starters time timing
One player is not bigger than the team. A some point during the season, we've pretty much had every one of our starters miss time or miss games and we've been fine. It's unfortunate, the timing of some of our injuries but that's the way basketball goes. We have confidence in each other.
ability baffled coach defend facing mentality talk team wants whatever
I would pray. You talk to any Big 12 coach and they're baffled how to defend her, and they've been facing her all season. . . . She has the ability and mentality to do whatever she wants and will her team to win.
far rest season themselves
They've distanced themselves so far this season from the rest of the pack, record-wise, but even talent-wise.
cameras comfort gave huge knowing level public speaking
It gave me a huge comfort level with cameras and speaking in public and knowing what to say and not what to say.
bad court fight game gauge hard highest home loose playing
If you were playing on an opponent's home court in a do-or-die situation, how would you come out and play? So to put a gauge on how bad they're going to want this game and in our house, and how hard they're going to fight to get loose balls. It will probably be at the highest level.
definitely envisioned
This was definitely not something I envisioned myself doing. I was kind of in the right place at the right time.
certain level opportunity teams win
There is a certain level of satisfaction (getting to the finals), to be one of the two teams left. We're here and now we have the opportunity to win a championship.
came felt good nervous run second
We came out nervous in the first half, we were hesitant, we weren't aggressive. We felt like we had a good run in us for the second half.
defending excited matching seattle seen team time
We hadn't seen Seattle in a long time and they are the defending champs, the team with the title. We were excited about matching up with them to see what we could do.
complement learn maintain perfect stay workout
This to me is a perfect complement to playing. It allows me to still maintain my workout regimen, stay competitive and learn more about basketball.
