atlanta favorite race
Atlanta is one of my favorite race tracks, and it always has been.
crashes forced pathetic
It was really a pathetic year. Some of the things I did some of the crashes I was in I didn't need to be in. I forced the issue.
accept actions behind channel emotion energy events focus productive racetrack responsibility results share sponsors team toward
I accept responsibility for my actions and will, in the future, channel the competitive energy and emotion that my team and I share toward productive results on the racetrack for Evernham Motorsports, our sponsors and fans. This is behind us now. As a team, our focus is on the upcoming events and the future.
drive experience hope race testing work
I think Erin can be very good. She's going to need a lot of work in testing and getting to drive around other race cars, things she really hasn't got a lot of experience in. If she can get all that I hope that she can be good.
alongside atlanta came clean competitor kept mark race racing tough traffic won
Mark came alongside me in lapped traffic and we just kept on racing him. He's as tough a competitor and as clean a competitor as you'll find and we won today, but just to race with Mark here in Atlanta is unbelievable.
cars difference early great hit preparing race setup team track
The big difference is we've hit on a setup early in the season. The team is preparing great race cars. I'm comfortable in there. I've never had cars that I got to the track with and been comfortable with.
capitalize
We've got to capitalize while we do have this and, hopefully, keep it going all season.
feel-better thinking race
I work out hard, and I do things that I feel make me better throughout the race and after the race. And I feel better mentally because of working out, being prepared and being in great shape. Driving the car, I think with reflexes and things throw at your so quickly, you have to make adjustments - the feeling of your car, the heat. Some tracks can be tough on your neck and arms, and other tracks, not so much. I think there's a lot there that definitely takes some athletic ability, and I think that helps being athletic and being prepared like that. It helps me for sure.
ive-learned
I've learned a ton since 2004.
coming forward four hurt looking michigan racetrack run turn
We usually run well at Michigan ... I used the whole racetrack coming off turn four and that probably hurt us a little bit. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
change definitely last learned momentum quick tough year
We're got some momentum right now. Things can change so quick in this sport. Last year we had a tough year, and I learned a lot. But we're definitely on a high.
