The idea is by using the headlights, people coming in opposite directions are going to be able to see you better. People that are going north or south, they'll be able to see the traffic that's approaching them and hopefully we'll be able to avoid these head-on collisions we've been investigating so often.

The guys were just going from one crash to the next crash. We tend to get two to three times more collisions on a wet day than we do on a dry day.

That area has been very saturated and will have to be shored up after the rainy season. If you live in the area just be careful and anticipate the worst and hope for the best.

The officers did the right thing. Boundary lines mean nothing when an officer needs assistance. There's definitely a brotherhood.

Either people stayed at home and weren't on the roadway or heeded the advice to slow down, especially on the first rain of the year. The oil on the roadway appears especially during the first storm of the year.

He was in the No. 2 lane and just slid. He was probably going too fast.

That's double to triple of what we usually have. These guys are working their tails off going call to call to call.

The suspect appeared a bit unstable. As soon as the officer touched the suspect, he started flailing around.

We do anticipate that the roadways are going to give us some trouble because of the weather.
