It has been so hard. We went as far as we could, playing in front of a Canadian crowd like this, under the Canadian microscope. All we care is we're happy with it and people can think what they want. Until you're here, until you're playing in this atmosphere, you have no idea and people can think and say what they want.

Nobody knew who we were until December. There's added pressure, there's added focus, there's spotlight. Every moment we step on the ice, it's different.

That was like death. It was a tie game except for the four-ender. We split the day 1-1 and it was a good kick in the pants. They're pretty darn good from lead to skip but we're pretty darn good too. We're not fearing them we just wish we would have brought a better game.

It's pretty exciting. We've never started off a national event with a win. This is huge and a great way to start off the week. This was a really good game for us.
business care great olympics
This is our Olympics for the year. They're great ambassadors for the sport. Us, on the other hand, we've got some business to take care of this week. There's no givens, no guarantees.

Our confidence is really getting up there. If someone had told us beforehand we were going to start out 3-1 on the third day of play, we probably would have said 'right on, we'll take it.' It gives us a lot of confidence going onto the next game especially.

Obviously, we're proud to go home with a medal. We had to fight for every ounce of that bronze. A few shots here or there could have turned into a silver or gold. We can't hang our heads about that.

All the pressure is off and we'll play for ourselves. That can be dangerous for other teams.

I go back to my Indiana days and Lake Wales when we became good. The better teams you play, the better you will be.

She's always trying to help somebody. I've been sent to jail, then prison, got out and she put me right to work.

I think we needed that. We had such a tough day. We were working so hard out there in two games straight. Thank God we got that break in the 10th end.
confidence couple earlier game good luck saw shot side spot
It was the only shot to make and we made it perfectly. We saw that spot a couple of times earlier in the game so we had pretty good confidence on how it would react. We had luck on our side with the way it reacted.
complete dedication hard hours result teammates work
This is the result of many, many hours of hard work and complete dedication to this goal. I couldn't find better teammates to play with. I'm very lucky.
