We're willing to pay the surface owner to exercise our existing property to right to the reasonable use of the surface to access the minerals. That's a property right we own, that we paid for, acquired.

We can't be put in a position where we owe some kind of blue sky (undefined) damages related to the change of the area. Not to say we're not sympathetic. If we are going to have oil and gas development, it has to happen where the gas is.

We liked the way they've designed this (tax) so that it works evenly across the state.

We didn't feel there was adequate consideration of cost.
